Hard Rock Atlantic City Announces $10m in Bonuses for Employees

Thousands of Hard Rock Casino Atlantic City employees were greeted with a big surprise during a recent Town Hall-style gathering. Non-union and union employees have received over $10 million in bonus cash, plus certain team members have earned prizes and cash totaling $100,000. Along with the monetary announcement, the company also discussed capital improvements that will see over $30 million spent on entertainment within the venue.

The big announcement during the meeting was the $10 million in bonuses. The extra cash was provided to thank employees for their commitment to customer service and casino success. Employees were excited to learn they received the bonus from Hard Rock.

The announcement comes after Forbes recently recognized Hard Rock as one of America’s Best Large Employers for seven years. The company’s commitment to team members includes a $100 million investment in 2022 to raise the salaries of its employees based in the United States. The wage increase affected almost 100 job classifications, including its NJ casino.

Along with the bonuses, some frontline employees were given cash and prizes valued at $100,000 in total. Team members were given additional boosts, with some earning up to $20,000 in rewards. The prizes were awarded to the employee’s hard work and results.

The Hard Rock brand is known for its entertainment options offered at casinos and other venues around the world. During the recent meeting, executives of the company announced capital improvements as part of the Fifth Anniversary Celebration.

The goal of the celebration is to provide a huge entertainment lineup with huge talent coming to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. The lineup of guests will be the biggest the property has ever seen in its five years of operation.

This year, visitors will be able to attend multiple events at the arena with comedians and musical guests. The list of those coming to the casino property includes:

Hard Rock Casino continues to be a major provider of gaming services in New Jersey as the new year begins. January revenue totals show the land-based casino bringing in $35.9 million, an increase of 3.4% from the previous year. The casino was the second-place finisher for the month.

Hard Rock generated $43.2 million for online gaming and sports betting, another increase for year-over-year earnings. The brand was up with its online sector by 2.2%. The venue was one of only three in the state to win more from in-person visitors than four years ago, which would have been in a pre-COVID marketplace.
